Last year I read Stephen King’s 11.22.63. It was fantastic.
Given the opportunity to travel back in time, protagonist Jake embarks on a massive adventure to change the course of history.
He makes huge decisions, not all of them good, and must ultimately decide how much he can change the past without totally changing the future.
It’s the Butterfly Effect and there were times (like when he went to buy a shirt and he was already wearing it because he’d bought it before) when it made my brain hurt. I like that feeling.
The story is about love and relationships, good vs evil and one man’s ability to change the entire world. Real hero stuff.
Although 11.22.63 is not a new book (about 6 years old), I would put it very high on the list of books to read if you haven’t enjoyed it yet. It’s cool.
And, it’s now also a TV series (I’m yet to see it) so that might be better for those who prefer to watch.
