I recently finished reading the first three books in Robert Galbraith’s Cormoran Strike series.
If you’ve never read or even heard of them, know this:
They’re unputdownable
Robert Galbraith is a pseudonym.
J.K. Rowling is the actual author
They are nothing like Harry Potter (although I love HP)
Cormoran Strike is a private detective, struggling to keep his business afloat while he battles his own demons (and he has a few!). Robin, Strike’s assistant, is loyal and competent, adding a new dimension to the business as she strives to fulfil the dreams she had long abandoned.
Galbraith (J.K. Rowling) is a master story-teller. Perfectly set scenes mean you can picture the story every step of the way as though you’ve lived it. Characters so real and believable you may have sat next to them on the train. And, of course, crimes and mysteries so bewildering and enticing I doubt anyone could rest until they found out who did it.
If this sounds like your cup of tea, then get reading.
What sort of books do you like to read?
