When I found myself in the beautiful Hunter Valley a few years ago for a work Christmas party (I know, tough right?) I took photo after photo of the same scene because I just couldn't get enough of how beautiful it was. Mother Nature really nailed it there.
The lush greenery and clear sky was a stunning backdrop for our company dinner, with fairy lights and cold drinks and delicious food and ALL the awesomeness.
The photos, still on my phone, served as inspiration and reference for several paintings and I've just recently started painting the same scenes again.
I've had a little break from painting in the last few weeks so getting back into it with some small paintings on paper:
