Sunny on the Other Side is a lovely little glimpse across the Hawkesbury River from the Del Rio Resort holiday park. I made this painting from a photo I took many years ago on a clear winter's day as I stood on the river's edge. The sun was shining bright on the water and the banks on the other side but it was pretty chilly standing in the shade of the trees and hills behind me! 
 
I love the contrast in this piece from the shadows as they sit next to the bright light of the river bank and sunlit tree. I think I'll be recreating this in a much larger size as I feel the simplicity really creates the interest here. Loved making this painting! 
 
Sunny on the Other Side is 20x20cm and comes with a wire across the back for hanging. It can be framed but doesn't need to be. The edges have been painted to form part of the piece as can be seen in the photos. The painting will be signed on the front and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
