The House in Ghinni Ghinni measures 20x20cm. It is made using artist's quality acrylic paint on stretched canvas. It can be framed, but isn't necessary. It comes with a wire across the back for hanging.
 
The House in Ghinni Ghinni is a painting that has been on my mind (and my camera roll!) for a long time. Funnily, I have snapped a pic of this scene on two separate trips up the north coast - so twice it's caught my attention. I considered naming it Privacy Screen for the way the trees shield the house but decided to reference the location instead. I might paint a larger version (as I often do) so perhaps I already have a name for it if it eventuates.
 
When I sat down to start this painting, I made the decision to work quickly, certainly faster than I normally do, and to not get too bogged down in detail. I'm so pleased I made this choice because it gave me freedom to enjoy painting it, rather than simply waiting for the finish line. I think I really need this choice in my art practice at the moment to remind me that I do this because I love it, not for any other reason.
 
The House in Ghinni Ghinni comes with a signed certificate of authenticity and price includes postage within Australia. Painting will be initialled on the front before sending.
