It was a chilly afternoon when we made a rest stop on our way to Canberra for a weekend away, many years ago. The family and I climbed out of the car and within minutes we were all ready to hop back in because it was bitterly cold! I managed to snap a few pics first and loved the one this painting is based on, with the grey skies and the bright orange (brighted a bit more by me of course because I can!). I have painted this scene before and thought it would work well in this little size.
 
Winter Sets In is 20x20cm and comes with a wire across the back for hanging. It can be framed but doesn't need to be. The edges have been painted to form part of the piece as can be seen in the photos. The painting will be signed on the front and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
